An up and coming rival of the Corleone family wants to start selling drugs in New York, and needs the Don"s influence to further his plan. The cat is the one that"s really running shit????????. Al Neri was one of my favorites. Real cop that turned bad after beating a couple men with his Billy cub and Michael exposed that. And if by chance an honest man like yourself should make enemies, then they would become my enemies. And then they would fear you. That shit gives me goosebumps.

Notice how the murders begin once the organ music hits its first crescendo. Nice symbolism there.

You either love this movie or Ill give you a offer that you cant refuse. Many men has called this the greatest movie ever made. I disagree, though I liked it very much. The hype of this movie is as interesting as the movie itself as it says a lot about the world we live in and the men who seek power.
I have seen and read intimidation used by people, trying to personally attack any who called this movie terrible or boring calling them stupid, while many other just jumped on the wagon calling it the greatest movie ever made to avoid such attack. A similar pattern to how physically strong, but emotionally weak men like Capone and Hitler came to power.
The movie is significant to both world and film history. I however only give the movie a 5 as by todays standard its less artistic, entertaining and original. I also did not feel there was much new or original to learn from this movie and I did not get that "wow" feeling. I would not have much interest to see it again.
This is one of my favorite gangster movies though and its certainly not terrible or boring. However it lacks in much of what I think a great movie should be such as: Moral points, emotion, surprise, humor, editing, cinematography, original thought, special effects, music score or even acting.(the tough guy role is not as challenging as it is to play mentally ill person)
It does also not appeal to a very broad audience (not a movie many women and children like. It was great for its time, but compared to some of todays movies is very limited in the areas of greatness.
If you like movies like old gangster movies or even tough guy movies like "the departed" and "scarface" or want to know what the hype is about. I recommend this movie it is a great movie for this genre. But it does not reach the emotional or theatrical heights of movies like "Forrest Gump. the Lord of the Rings. Dances with Wolves" or even my favorite gangster movie "Goodfellas.

Watching this movie as an adult is so much more in-depth an amazing. Now I see why it"s the best movie of all time. 2:45 I personally believe this part here has got to be the most fascinating scene of all of the Godfather movies. Here is Michael showing he has everything it takes to be the perfect crime boss such temperament, intelligence, ruthlessness, and other other important traits as he explain his plan to kill McClusky and Sollozzo. And then Tessio, Sollozzo, and Sonny laughs while Tom is left speechless thinking they may have heard perhaps the most absurd thing ever. Such a great and powerful scene.

The best Movie! Great casting ??. I LOVE THIS MOVIE. I"m 11 btw. I"ve frisked a thousand young punks. Yup. And he"ll be your last, captain. RIP Abe Vigoda! Nobody could play Tessio better. Wow! I watched countless times, but every time, feel same level of intensity and tension in this particular scene. Master Class. This may not be the best scene of the Godfather trilogy, but is indeed the most important. Its where Michael begins to turn into a badass smart cold mob leader, and leaves his innocence behind. The Best thing ever happened to Film industry of Earth. When your DNA test says that you are 0.1% italian.

Shooting someone a mile away. Michael was a decorated Marine, WW2 Veteran, recently returned from the war. Watch a few documentaries about the Marines fighting the Japanese in this timeframe, cause I don"t think this would have been an issue for him, lol. There is a very good reason why Godfather is considered greatest movie of all time and that"s because all of it"s parts work perfectly with each others. I think that i don"t need to say anything more if you didn"t already see it stop what ever you are doing and go watch it.

Always been in love with the atmosphere of these movies! Perfection. This day( 3.4.) is day when Marlon Brando"s born. Yur taykin dis vewy poisinally.
